Three Teenagers Hurt in Miramar Parkway Crosswalk Crash

On September 22, 2026, Local 10, WSVN, and NBC 6 reported that three teenage girls were injured after they were struck by a vehicle at Miramar Parkway and Douglas Road in Miramar. Miramar police put the time at just after 6 a.m., shortly before 6:15 a.m.

According to Miramar police, the girls — ages 15, 16, and 17 and students at Miramar High School — were crossing in a marked crosswalk near a school zone when they were struck by a Dodge Challenger. WSVN reported that the driver was making a left turn and that cameras showed a silver Challenger with significant front-end damage. Local 10 also described the Challenger as heading north. Miramar Fire Rescue took all three to a local hospital. Authorities said the injuries were non-life-threatening: two teens had minor or no significant injuries and were alert and stable, while a third had more serious injuries that were still described as non-life-threatening.

Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss said the driver stayed at the scene, called police, and cooperated with detectives. Eastbound Miramar Parkway and southbound Douglas Road were closed near the intersection for several hours while investigators worked, then reopened. Moss said the driver reported having a green light, while the girls said they had the crossing signal — and that those accounts are still being sorted out. Police said they are reviewing area cameras and lighting cycles and taking scene measurements. Officials said speed does not appear to have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
