Florida Injury Claim FAQs

Plain answers. Not legal advice. Phone 305-605-6739.

How long do I have to file a Florida injury lawsuit?

For most Florida negligence claims that accrue on or after March 24, 2023, the lawsuit deadline is generally two years after House Bill 837 — not four. Some older cases may still have a four-year period. Deadlines depend on the facts. This is not legal advice. Call 305-605-6739.

When do I need to see a doctor after a crash?

Florida PIP generally requires initial treatment within 14 days of the crash if you want those benefits. Get care promptly and keep the records.

Should I give a recorded statement to the other insurer?

Do not give a recorded statement to the other driver’s insurer before you talk to counsel. A short call with me is safer than an on-the-spot recording.

Do I pay a fee if we do not recover?

No fee unless we win. Costs are discussed up front so you know how the file works.

Do you work in Spanish?

Yes. English and Spanish. Hablamos español. You talk to attorney Ily Lopez, not a call center.

Where is the office?
