SUV Crash Into El Palacio de los Jugos in West Kendall

On September 15, 2026, Local 10 and WSVN reported that a vehicle crashed into an El Palacio de los Jugos location in West Kendall / Southwest Miami-Dade around 3:45 p.m. The restaurant is at 15110 SW 56th Street, near Southwest 56th Street and Southwest 151st Avenue. Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputies and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the scene.

According to Local 10, crews found damage to the building and a gas leak, and officials notified the gas company. WSVN reported that investigators said the woman behind the wheel of a Honda SUV accidentally drove through the storefront. Local 10 described the vehicle as a dark-colored SUV. Per Local 10, one woman was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital as a trauma patient, and two other women were taken to area hospitals; one of the injured was the driver. WSVN reported that the driver and two employees were hospitalized, and that Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said all three victims were stable and recovering. WSVN also reported that the gas leak was capped, the SUV was towed, and the restaurant's owner said the location would not open on Wednesday. Local 10 said authorities had not released word on the circumstances that led up to the vehicle crashing into the building. The crash remains under investigation.

When a vehicle enters a storefront

People inside a restaurant are not in traffic, but a vehicle through glass and framing can still reach the counter, seating, and work areas in one motion. Building utilities can add secondary hazards — Local 10 and WSVN both reported a gas leak after this impact, and crews capped it. How an SUV crossed the curb and entered the opening is still for investigators to establish. Local 10 and WSVN said MDSO and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue worked the West Kendall scene on September 15, 2026.
