A woman was taken to the hospital after a car crashed into the side of a restaurant in Tamarac on Friday, October 30, 2026, following a two-vehicle crash, WSVN 7News reported.
The crash happened near Northwest 31st Avenue and US 441. According to Tamarac Fire Rescue, a driver overcorrected after an apparent two-vehicle crash, and a silver Toyota ended up against the side of Flavor Bar Restaurant & Bakery. A photo obtained by 7News showed heavy front-end damage to the car, along with a shattered window and a partially damaged column on the building. The owner told 7News no one was sitting in that area at the time. Local 10 News also reported one person injured.
The woman's condition has not been released, and authorities have not said how the first crash happened. The crash remains under investigation.
When one crash leads to another impact
Many serious crashes are really a chain of events. A first collision can push a car out of its lane, and a driver who jerks the wheel to recover can lose control and leave the road. On a busy commercial road like US 441, that can put a car into a parked vehicle, a sidewalk, or a storefront within seconds. Investigators usually look at each step separately: what caused the first contact, how each vehicle moved afterward, and whether the road layout played a part. More than one driver can share responsibility, and businesses or people who were not in either car can be affected too. Fault is not assumed from where a car comes to rest; it depends on what the investigation shows.
Thoughts are with the woman who was hurt, and we hope for her full recovery.
