On September 27, 2026, WSVN reported a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV in Hialeah. According to 7News, the crash happened on East 4th Avenue after the SUV driver went the wrong way on East 39th Street.
WSVN said the doors on the driver and passenger sides of the SUV were crushed inward and the windows were shattered, while parts of the motorcycle were scattered on the ground. Hialeah Police arrested both the driver and the passenger of the car. Potential charges had not been released. The motorcycle driver was airlifted to the hospital by Air Rescue. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
When a wrong-way vehicle meets a motorcycle
Wrong-way travel on a city street puts a vehicle into lanes that other traffic is not expecting. A motorcycle rider has far less mass and almost no body structure between them and the impact compared with an SUV. When those paths cross at an urban intersection like East 4th Avenue and East 39th Street in Hialeah, the size gap and the surprise direction of travel can turn a short conflict into a high-energy crash. Crushed doors, shattered glass, and motorcycle parts on the pavement can show how hard the vehicles met, but they do not by themselves answer every question about fault, speed, or charges.
